Reflecting as a tool for change

When the garden calls, listen.

Greetings friends,
How are you feeling about being in November already? Have you made the best use of your time this year?

One thing we can’t change is that, yes, we are in November. What we can do is take time for reflection and explore how we are feeling about the past ten months. Were there things you planned to do this year that you can see slipping away, or are you feeling pretty good about life right now?
I feel the year has crept up on me, and suddenly, I realise I have to put in some effort to get where I want to be by Christmas time.
The good thing about taking time to reflect is that you have the opportunity to change your plans.
Whilst I love to start the year with plans and projects scheduled I have learned to roll with the flow and sometimes surrender to forces greater than me! This happened recently when I had a two-week break from teaching my weekly classes and had plans to transform my studio into a recording space. Big plans to record two online courses were on my agenda.

Each day I got up with nothing in my diary other than recording time and I rested, read, gardened, and felt good come evening time. After about five days of this routine, I decided the recording would have to wait, I needed to honour this time of pottering around with no demands, and no timelines to adhere to. I needed to connect to my home and garden and let the process ground and nurture me.
It felt good to have heard the message to change my plans and also to flow with it.

Look deep into nature, and there you will understand everything better. Albert Einstein

Our world is crazy at this time and I feel people are unsettled and looking for answers and security. The best answers are within us, coming from our heart, however, if we don’t make time for reflection, regularly, we often don’t hear the wisdom we hold.
Sometimes doing less results in being more, which has to hold much value. Less doing and more being. How can we make that a priority?
I did a time audit recently to see where my time was going, and I was surprised at how much time I spent at my desk, on my computer, striving to get more and more done. As I let go in my two-week break, I realised what I was striving to do wasn’t necessary. Once we honour our hearts and souls’ desires to connect more to nature and spend time being, we get more done when we are in doing mode. It’s a win-win.

Let’s turn things upside down, let go, make time for your heart and soul desires, and see how much more you have to offer. Suddenly you come from a place of fullness, overflowing with gratitude and a love for the simpler things in life.
Can you do less this week and be more?
Give it a go, honour your inner calling, follow your heart, and see where it leads you.
Let us know, we love the sharing of experience as it brings us all closer together and that is what the world needs.
More unity, connection, support, and happy hearts.
Till next time. be more do less.

    Hello Sarah
Since June after our event , scare, first in 50 years I have been doing just that.
SPENDING TIME WITH EACH OTHER (WE ALWAYS DID) BUT THIS IS MORE MEANINGFUL.
One of my reasons for taking a break from yoga.
Tuesday was always such a rush ..preparing lunch then going to a hobby/fun time of mine, majong., and leaving Eddy, which he was quite happy about me having time out.
We must have have joy times and shut ourselves from the everyday “MUST Do THIS MUST Do THAT”
Reflecting on the above and the meds Eddy is on is taking its toll., on both of us
We are going to talk to our ex cardiologist (friend) to see his take on the current situation, hopefully then we will have some clarity, moving forward.
Our Melbourne trip was pure joy, and since coming back we are enjoying everyday day especially this beautiful spring weather.
So we are stopping to smell the roses do easy lunches and occasionally go to have lunch at nearby restaurants.
Rest most afternoons., bike rides, do the usual social events
    LIFE HAS CHANGED FOR ME,
I miss my Yoga mates, and You.
Please drop in anytime and have a coffee with us.
Thank you for sharing the above, because even though Iam a lot older I feel the same as you.
    Life is so short.
    With great regard for you
    Blessing and good wishes.
